Content hub & localisation · Liverpool · serving the UK, Ireland and the EU

Every asset, every market, one harbour.

Content Harbour Ltd is where large content estates come to be organised. We build and run the hub — asset library, localisation pipeline, rights tracking and publishing standards — so twelve markets stop making twelve versions of the same thing.

  • 2014Operating since
  • 26Languages supported
  • 340k+Assets under management
  • 99.4%On-time market delivery

Trusted by content teams in retail, manufacturing, hospitality, public sector and professional services — wherever one brand has to speak in many places at once.

Capabilities

Six services that keep a large content estate afloat.

Each can be bought on its own. Together they become an operating system for content across markets, brands and formats.

01

Digital asset management

We design the taxonomy, migrate the archive, deduplicate what is there and configure the platform — then keep it tidy with quarterly hygiene reviews.

02

Localisation & translation

Human translation with in-country review across 26 languages, backed by translation memory so the second year always costs less than the first.

CAT tooling · glossaries · in-country reviewers

03

Transcreation & adaptation

For campaign lines and marketing copy where a literal translation would land badly. Concepts are re-written for each market and tested with native speakers.

Straplines · campaigns · product naming

04

Rights & usage tracking

Model releases, photographer licences, music rights and expiry dates recorded against every asset, with automatic alerts before a licence lapses.

Licence registry · expiry alerts · audit trail

05

Publishing standards

Naming conventions, metadata schemas, accessibility requirements and file specifications documented once and enforced everywhere.

Metadata schema · alt-text policy · file specs

06

Hub operations

A named team running requests, approvals, versioning and reporting day to day, so your local marketers have one place to ask and one place to look.

Request desk · SLAs · monthly reporting

The hub

One library. Many markets. No duplicate work.

Most large organisations do not lack content — they lack the ability to find it. Assets sit in five drives, three agencies and one person’s inbox. The hub replaces that with a single, searchable, rights-cleared library, and a pipeline that gets each market what it needs in its own language.

Intake

Every new asset arrives through one route, tagged and rights-checked on the way in.

Localise

Market requests are queued, translated, reviewed in-country and versioned automatically.

Distribute

Approved assets flow to websites, retail partners, print suppliers and social teams.

Retire

Expired licences and superseded versions are archived before anyone can publish them by mistake.

In their words

What running the hub feels like from the inside.

“We used to re-shoot things we already owned. That stopped in the first quarter.”

Brand Manager — retail group, nine markets

“The rights register alone justified the project. We know exactly what we can still use, and until when.”

Head of Marketing — UK manufacturer

“Their request desk answers faster than our internal one did, and keeps a record of every decision.”

Questions

Before you get in touch.

Do you sell a platform, or do you run ours?

We are platform-independent. If you already have a DAM we will make it work properly; if you do not, we will help you select one on merit and stay out of the licence resale business entirely.

How does migration work in practice?

We inventory the current estate, agree what is worth keeping, map old structures to the new taxonomy and move in batches. Nothing is deleted — superseded material is archived so it can be recovered for two years.

Are your translators employees or freelancers?

A core in-house team plus a vetted freelance network of in-country linguists. Every language pair has a named lead reviewer who stays with your account rather than rotating.

Can you work with machine translation?

Yes, where it is sensible: high-volume, low-risk content with human post-editing. We will tell you plainly which content types we would not put through it, such as regulated, legal or brand-critical copy.

What happens to our translation memory?

It belongs to you. We maintain it during the engagement and hand it over in a standard TMX file whenever you ask, including on exit.

How quickly can the request desk start?

Typically four to six weeks from signature, once taxonomy and SLAs are agreed. Interim cover can start sooner if a deadline demands it.

Even a rough picture is enough for a first conversation: how many assets, how many markets, where they live and what keeps going wrong. We will come back with an honest view of the work involved.
